The process behind BuzzOver
BuzzOver is the result
of over 3 years of close collaboration with a leading manufacturer of products
to combat the effects of alcohol consumption in the USA. The result is a patented
formula which, in studies conducted in the USA, shows over 55% better alcohol
absorption by the body and an over 65% better feeling the next morning! The first
version of BuzzOver was ready back in 2023, and since then it has
undergone over 11 improvements and studies with volunteers and supporters of
the idea. Almost a year, 2500 doses, and 11 improvements later, BuzzOver is now ready
for you - our customers!
For the most curious among you...
We're ready to share all the science behind what makes BuzzOver so good!
Of course, without our little secret - how we make all these
ingredients work in perfect synchronization and do exactly what we want.
The Science of the Evening
What happens to our body when we consume alcohol?
The moment of the first drink
Alcohol absorption begins.
It is mainly absorbed through the stomach (20%) and intestinal tract (80%) and enters
directly into the bloodstream through the walls of the stomach and intestines. The maximum
blood alcohol concentration occurs 30-60 minutes after consumption.
In the middle of the coupon
Alcohol reaches the liver,
which processes about 90% of it. The liver uses two main enzymes:
Alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) converts alcohol into acetaldehyde
Aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH) converts acetaldehyde into acetic
acid
By the end of the evening
Acetic acid is decomposed in the
gastrointestinal tract into water and carbon dioxide. Small quantities
(2-10%) are eliminated unchanged through respiration, perspiration, and urine (this
is based on KAT)
Why do some people "wear out" more?
Standard
the liver can process approximately 50 ml. concentrate per hour. This
rate is relative and can be significantly accelerated or slowed down by a number
of factors. The main factors influencing absorption are:
Genetics
(especially ADH and ALDH variants). Asians, for example, have very low levels of these two enzymes.
Sex
(women usually process alcohol more slowly)
Eating habits
Liver health
Oxidative stress levels
Levels of general detoxification elements in the body
With this part, we conclude the science for the evening.
And if this process works, why do we get hangovers?
The causes of morning woes are multiple and quite complex in themselves.
The main reason for their existence is to remind us that
life is a series of moments of joy and sadness.
But how does it work?
Every unit of alcohol causes the body to excrete
4 units of water. This happens because alcohol suppresses the production of
the hormone vasopressin (or antidiuretic hormone) from the pituitary gland. This
hormone is responsible for dehydrating the body, telling the kidneys to
re-absorb water instead of excreting it. Along with dehydration, something else happens
— we lose important electrolytes for the body, which are extremely important for
the proper functioning of organs and glands. From there - slowed metabolism leads
directly to delayed processing, and lost electrolytes prevent us from absorbing
fluids correctly the next day. That's why ayran helps significantly more
than water.
In cases of excessive dehydration, and especially
while we sleep, the body does not eliminate enough of the processed alcohol, and
a certain amount remains in the body. This is the cause of morning
nausea, dizziness, and discomfort.
Headaches, intolerance to light, and
noise are directly related to dehydration. In cases of prolonged alcohol consumption,
the loss of electrolytes and fluids increases, and the body uses its
reserves primarily to maintain alcohol processing. A direct result of
this is the dehydration of the brain, which shrinks inside the skull. In this shrinkage, it
stretches the ligaments that attach it to the skull, and this tension
creates local inflammation, which leads to the headache we feel.
Recovery, or why do we recover much more easily when we are young?
Every substance that our intestinal tract and liver
process leads to a certain physical level of oxidative stress, as well as the
need for precise microelements to overcome it correctly. Up to a
relatively advanced age, the body continues to produce regenerative cells,
so physical repairs occur. However, relatively early, it stops producing one of the most important elements of good health - glutathione! Glutathione is the most powerful antioxidant known to science,
and, in addition to detoxifying and restoring the body extremely quickly and efficiently,
it produces it! The catch is that after the age of 22-23, its production
begins to decrease, and after 33, it almost stops, significantly reducing the body's
ability to fight against toxins. Glutathione production is also
influenced by external factors such as stress, smoking, and overworking the body
with trans fats. The consumption of glutathione as a food supplement can also be
ineffective if it is not accompanied by its helpers for rapid absorption -
amino acids, known as cysteines.
What is BuzzOver doing about this? BuzzOverParty and the science of the evening:
Vitamin C together with a very small amount of taurine accelerates metabolism, glutathione loads the body's glutathione reserves, while B vitamins ensure the proper absorption of SAMe – a powerful methyl donor with a key role in protecting and regenerating the liver. DHM together with electrolytes and zinc are a powerful combination for increasing liver resistance and ensuring proper substance exchange, protecting against dehydration. Our proprietary blend helps protect the stomach and produce enzymes that break down alcohol, which helps accelerate alcohol breakdown.
BuzzOver and morning science:
Magnesium, zinc, salts and sugars necessary for rapid absorption ensure the rapid recovery of electrolyte balance. SAMe helps in the fight against the effect of residual alcohol, while DHM and Glutathione support efficient body detoxification, and Vitamin E acts as a vasodilator and helps with recovery. All this together with our proprietary blend, which supports stomach protection and the production of alcohol-breaking enzymes, which helps accelerate alcohol breakdown.
Ginger and turmeric extracts also calm the stomach to help with a fresh morning.
